INSTI™ preparation is minimal and results show up in as little as 60 seconds.

INSTI™ is an FDA approved, Health Canada approved and CE Marked medical device and has undergone extensive clinical and non-clinical studies that have demonstrated its accuracy in direct comparison to licensed or approved laboratory-based methods.

INSTI™ is equivalent to the most sensitive licensed or approved laboratory-based assays in early antibody detection. However, patients who may be in the “window period” of HIV infection may test Non-Reactive in the INSTI™ test.

Chlamydia Test – £80

Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the UK, and is the most commonly diagnosed STI in people under the age of 25. Symptoms of chlamydia include abnormal discharge, and pain during intercourse or urination. However, many cases will not show any symptoms. If left untreated, chlamydia can cause infertility.

Chlamydia testing involves a urine sample or swab. Results are available in 2 -5 days and a prescription can be provided if required. Our doctors also recommend retesting 2 weeks after treatment to ensure that the infection has been cured and cannot be spread to your partners.

You should consider a sexual health screen if you have had unprotected sex, are starting a new relationship or are experiencing symptoms. Depending on your sexual practices, a doctor might recommend a full screen and a repeat of certain tests after the appropriate window period.

Men are normally tested on urine and blood samples with no need for painful swabs and so testing can now be painless. Women are normally tested on blood samples and vaginal swabs which can be taken by the doctor.

For accuracy of your results you should hold urine for 2 hours prior to the appointment. Please also inform the doctor if you have recently taken or are taking any kind of medication or antibiotics.

Most results take 4 to 12 working hours to come back and some bacterial infections results are back in 3 to 5 days. We also offer instant HIV testing.
